Cuveé M. Isaac Blanc de Blanc Vintage 2015 'BBB'
Dedicated to our late founder, the Cuvée M. Isaac Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2015 Barrel-aged Before Bottling – or the ‘BBB’ – is our next winemaking innovation.
Sourced exclusively from the estate’s oldest Chardonnay vines during the 2015 vintage, the BBB was fermented, kept and stirred in barrels over three years to better understand the effect that longer oak ageing would have on English sparkling wine.
Product Description
Our Head Winemaker Corinne, was keen to experiment with her range of vintage oak barrels from France to pioneer another unique style of English sparkling.
Each bottle is elegantly presented in a stunning gift box, complete with a bespoke bookmark detailing the story behind the wine.
Sherbet lemon in colour with a fine mousse, the nose is immediately inviting offering a rich toastiness with light buttery almond and raisin. Creamy vanilla richness gives way to nuances of burnt orange, marzipan and praline with a hint of smokiness on the palette, adding layers of depth and complexity. The finish is elegant and confident, leaving a lasting impression and impeccable balance.

Chef’s Choice
Pumpkin ravioli amplifies this wine’s velvety butteriness, or pair with roast chicken and a creamy wild mushroom sauce to unveil its smoky undertones and layered complexity.
Enticing, fresh bouquet of ripe orchard red apple and pear. Fine intensity on the palate, lovely balance between ripe fruit and steely acidity. Excellent concentration, doubtless helped by the old vines, lots of energy and a long, positive finish. A hint of savoury salinity on the aftertaste adds an appealing note. Clearly at the quality level of many a Champagne House Prestige Cuvée, and the core of firm acidity points to considerable ageing potential. Delicious now, with the emphasis still on youthful fruit characteristics, but more complexity will arrive with 2-3 years more maturity.
I have been waiting in anticipation to share this magnificent wine which showcases the timeless ageing potential of the Exton Park Chardonnay grown on chalk. As a base wine the result was stunning. With bubbles, it is simply incredible. The BBB is, so far, my greatest achievement for English Chardonnay.
